The story behind the book
One Christmas Eve, with five restless grandchildren gathered at her feet, Leona (Isphording) Huller began to spin a story with equal measures of fact and fiction — a boy, her son Jack, his endless curiosity, the reprimand he received for not obeying his parents and the redemptive power and joy of Christmas morning.
She told it once a year beginning in the 1950's. It was resurrected in the 1970's and has been told every Christmas Eve since. For decades it lived only in memory, but this book finally puts it to print.

All proceeds from The Jack Story go to ALS United Ohio, which provides care services, equipment, and support to Ohioans living with ALS and the families who love them. A story kept alive for generations, now helping other families through the hardest of days.
